My Skype classroom

First of all, the Skype classroom will give you a wonderful chance to practise your conversational English. Also, teaching via Skype gives both the teacher and the student unlimited access to English teaching materials that are just a click away!

Secondly, the teaching effectiveness of the classes is improved as online whiteboards and Skype screen sharing enable me, your teacher, to easily share my visual material with you during the class. Furthermore, experience has taught me that students may not fully understand what is being said to them. So, during your live online English class, both you and I can use instant messaging to check spelling of unknown words or structures used in the class, to explain grammar problems, and to correct any mistakes in your written English homework assignments.

Thirdly, with Skype, students can now access their very own private teacher and engage in clear video and audio interaction with a qualified native English teacher who wants to help them improve their English.

WHY I DON’T OFFER A FREE SAMPLE LESSON:

 

There are people who have no intention of buying classes cruising the Internet who take advantage of online English teachers offering the first lesson for free.

 

SO HERE IS MY DEAL:

 

A student who buys his/her first package of lessons will have the price subtracted from the total price. Therefore, the sample lesson will, in fact, be FREE!

Courses are aimed at English language students who want to improve their overall fluency and accuracy as well as develop the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The course will be taught using the successful English File series to provide practice in a meaningful context, with additional supplementary material. Feedback will be given at the end of each lesson with tips on improvement.

Terms & Conditions

(1) Cancellation of online lessons

To cancel your lesson, simply send me an email and wait for my email to confirm the cancellation. However, please note that I must receive it 12 hours before the scheduled start of the lesson. Please further note that if you follow this recommendation, then the cancelled lesson will be rescheduled later in the month - no problem.

However, if you do not turn up for the lesson or formally cancel the lesson a few hours before the scheduled start, then, you will lose that lesson from your package - sorry.

 

(2) My refund policy

If a student cancels completely his/her package of lessons within the first two lessons, I will refund the remaining lessons, minus an administration fee of 10%. If a student cannot attend his/her current course due to personal reasons, he/she may transfer the balance of the course (i.e. the remaining lessons) to another agreed, later date. No administration fee will be charged for this service.

 

(3) Lateness for online lessons

Please be on time for your online lessons. I will wait a maximum of 10 minutes for you to come to your class. If you haven't arrived in 10 minutes, I will stop waiting and go offline on Skype. As a result, you will lose this lesson from your package - sorry. N.B. Please note that this rule applies even if you have a technical problem with your connection or your computer. Therefore, it is strongly advised that you check that your hardware and Internet connection are fit for online learning.

 

(4) Teacher cancellations

Although I will try to be available to teach all online lessons 100% of the time, there may be times when my personal circumstances mean that I have to cancel a lesson myself at short notice, i.e. on the same day of the lesson. However, in this eventuality your lesson will be rescheduled at a time later in the month.

 

(5) Sharing online lessons with other people

Please note that this in a one-to-one service. However, should the student wish to invite a friend, only the person who has paid for the online lessons will be directly addressed in class.

 

(6) Behavior during online lessons

Inappropriate student behaviour during the online lesson is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. As a result, the lesson will end immediately and not be refunded.
